Is it easy to find CC licenses that are suitable for my film project? Is it easy to see what is public, and is that definitely usable for a film? I'm new to the site. Thanks for your reply.

i guess it's not that easy. i'd start by looking for type or genre of music and see if anything has license that fits. there is the way to search for works with specific license type, but you'll get too long list of results.
for example:
search for "no derivs" license within audio
search for "share-alike" license within audio

if license is not clearly stated i guess you'd have to contact the author and ask him.
